Every day in Central Texas, the phone rings—about 20 times—with children who need safety, love, and a family. At 4PointsKids, we exist to say “yes.” We train and support foster families at no cost, walk with them day and night, and match children to homes where healing can begin.

What We Believe
We are a Christ-centered nonprofit serving Central Texas through private donations. We believe family is God’s design for healing and growth. While systems may trend toward institutional care (GRO), we champion family-focused placements because children thrive when they see healthy marriages, sibling bonds, and everyday rhythms of love.

Crisis or Trauma, Christ-Led Care
Children typically enter care in one of two ways:

Crisis without blame (e.g., a parent is incapacitated after an accident).

Trauma-based removal (parental rights terminated or in process).
The need has increased ~50% over the last 20 years, while family-based options are shrinking as funding often favors institutional models, sometimes 10x more than family placements. We choose family anyway because Jesus did. (Matthew 25:40)

90–95% foster family retention (vs. many families in the system lasting < 2 years).

15–20 children under care at any given time.

130+ attendees engaged in training and support—many from outside our placement roster because help matters.

Our Impact
If God is calling you to foster, we will equip you.
You’ll be asked to love unconditionally, face trauma-rooted behaviors, and then—often—let go with grace. That grief is real, and you won’t carry it alone. We teach parents to reframe the goodbye: it isn’t “loss, loss, loss,” but the expectations, experiences, and healthy relationships you modeled that remain in a child’s story. Many of our families even stay healthily connected with bio families when possible.

Because of private donations we are able to keep training free and say “yes” when the calls come. Your generosity underwrites the $5,000 training cost per family, 24/7 support, and year-round family care.

We collaborate with churches, nonprofits, schools, and community leaders to recruit, train, and sustain foster families across Central Texas.
